About This Site

This site has been built using the open source content management system (CMS) Drupal. Initial development and testing was performed on an Ubuntu 7.10 based Dell Inspiron 1525N using the LAMPP all-in-one tool called XAMPP available from apachefriends.org. The tools used were also all open source: Bluefish, Geany, Firefox, Epiphany, and so on.

Now, the initial development and testing is performed from a home built server running Ubuntu 8.04 Server with Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Perl installed (a pure LAMPP server) and the same Dell Inspiron 1525N with Ubuntu 8.04 using the same tools as the original development.

TechDimension.com is proud to be hosted with 1&1 Internet Inc with Linux hosting.

We strive to maintain an open source state by using only open source software. Users are strongly encouraged to use open source when dealing with others on TechDimension.com.
