Main

Welcome!
Here you will find a home to host project collaboration, apply to or post jobs, get hold on whatever you are working on, or find information regarding the technical world.

A Little About This Site:
This site is built on Drupal to be a community driven website. Members are encouraged to actively participate in forum topics and projects. If you have a need for an employee (paid or not) you can post a job listing. If you have a need for work, or just something to do, you can apply to one of the job listings. You can even create an online resume for the public to view. Your resume can be accessible to employers on this site, outside employers, project leaders and members. Get yourself noticed. With a combination of your online resume hosted on this site and your active participation, people will see what you have to say about yourself and how you work with others.

Newsletters

I am not putting the newsletter capabilities of Drupal to use. To find out more, go to the Newsletters page in the menu at the top-left of every page where there is more information and direct links to the available newsletters.

Site Updates

TechDimension.com had some upgrades today. The upgrades shouldn't effect the way the site functions. These are the upgrades that were applied and the versions they were upgraded to:

  • Drupal 6.4
  • Avatar Selection 6.x-1.5
  • Bookmark Us 6.x-1.1
  • Comment Subscribe 6.x-1.1
  • Job Posting 6.x-1.9
  • Login Destination 6.x-2.1
  • Printer Friendly Pages 6.x-1.0-rc9
  • Search404 6.x-1.1
  • Shoutbox 6.x-1.0
  • Webform 6.x-2.1.3

If there are any ill effects that you believe came from these updates, please alert me.

I have also added a block on the left with links to other sites to get support related to Linux (namely Ubuntu and Kubuntu).

Wallpaper Projects Posted

I have released two (2) of my wallpaper projects. They are available with the Creative Commons license, so feel free to use them if you wish. These widescreen wallpapers were created with The GIMP and are both 1920x1200 at 512 dpi. You can view more by clicking the thumbnails below.

Services Page Now Available

TechDimension.com now has a Services page available to explain more about what can be provided. People/companies/organizations can take a look to see if the services provided by TechDimension.com are right for them. This site itself is a testimony as to some of the services provided.

Internet Diploma

Just a little find on the net. My Internet Diploma is a website to get your diploma for being an internet surfer. It takes an entire two (2) minutes to complete and only consists of a few questions. They ask for your name, email address (so they can send you your diploma), if you use Google, and if you have a website. There have been several people to complete this. From my own experience, however, it took quite a while for the diploma to actually be sent to me: about 3 weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: There very well could be some sort of email address harvesting going on with this internet diploma site, so be sure to not provide them an address you actually use on a regular basis. Other than that little thought, enjoy the useless diploma! Yes, that means it is pointless to put it on your resume or expect a pay raise at your current job.

Also, I am in fact aware that the My Internet Diploma website has been mentioned on others sites such as downloadsquad, so please don't post comments to tell me this.

New Forum Section

I am a full-time Linux user, which K/Ubuntu is my personal choice for desktop work. As such, I have noticed little bugs that have needed quick fixes or small tweaks that needed to be made in order to make things more usable. For this reason, I created a new forum section for Tips and Tricks. Feel free to post any tips or tricks that you have come across that are useful.

Calendar Bounty

TechDimension.com currently has a bounty for an interactive calendar. See the Bounty forum topic for more details.

All takers are welcome.
